So you’ve seen the ad and you are getting your resume tidied up and made unique for this potential job right? Well obviously you aren’t just going to post it without writing a covering letter are you? Are you nuts?

No way! You are going to write a unique covering letter, using the ad that you are responding to as your guide, in a way the cover letter is a mini-sell to get them to read the attached resume.

• No cover letter = rude ( and smacks of your sending out your resume willy nilly!)

In Hollywood parlance; your cover letter is the ‘pitch‘ for the cool ‘screenplay‘ that’s attached.
